Orthodontics in SE Edmonton

Perhaps you wanted to get your smile straightened when you were younger but never got around to it. It’s never too late! We offer patients a practically invisible orthodontic option with SureSmile which has the distinct advantage of being able to discreetly align your smile. You don’t have to resort to wearing unsightly metal “train track” braces, which can detract from your appearance.

SureSmile

Girl holding out clear aligners trayConsidered the gold standard in clear aligners, SureSmile has been used worldwide for years. With SureSmile, you just wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat and drink. With this system, you can remove the aligners for social events, which is an attractive benefit. You also won’t have to deal with any irritation from wires or brackets because there aren’t any!

With SureSmile, your teeth can move more efficiently, meaning your treatment is faster and more predictable. This aligner system gets great results and is a more affordable alternative to other systems.

Other Benefits of a Straight Smile

In addition to the obvious aesthetic benefits of a straight smile, it will be better for your gums and jaw joints. Having a straighter smile also can reduce headaches and teeth grinding. Overall, your teeth will have a much healthier occlusion.

Does Insurance Cover Orthodontics?

It depends on your insurance provider. If you have orthodontic coverage, then you have SureSmile coverage. We also offer payment plans.

Providing a Team Approach

Dr. Rakhee works with an orthodontist on each patient’s case, an approach that’s different than other dentists who do the treatment themselves. So, at Aurora Dental, patients get the benefit of an orthodontist who is specialized in this exact procedure looking over
their treatment plan without having to pay higher prices at an orthodontist’s office.

Book a Free Consultation!

If you’re wondering if SureSmile is right for you, we offer a free consultation. During the consultation, we check your bite to see how your teeth fit together. Next, we will determine the amount of movement required. There won’t be any poking or prodding; we’ll just perform a visual check to see how much movement the teeth are going to need.

Then, we can provide you with a fairly accurate prediction of how long your treatment will take. If we determine that you’re a good candidate for SureSmile, a model of your mouth will be made. We’ll then forward the model to SureSmile and they’ll create the aligners and determine how long it will take to straighten your smile.
